I am supporting the campaign for a new school as a replacement for Berryhill and Mitchell High Schools.
Proposals put forward by the City Council include the closure of both Berryhill and Mitchell High Schools and the building of a new high school at Park Hall which will be intended to primarily serve children from the Longton area.
I am campaigning to ensure that the new school built to replace Berryhill and Mitchell High Schools will be within the Bucknall/Berryhill/Eaton Park area, the favoured site being the land adjoining the existing Mitchell High School.
